Meet Dr. Mathew Amen
Oakville Dentist
Dr. Mathew Amen, originally from Milton, Ontario, earned his dental degree from Charles Sturt University in Australia, where he excelled both academically and clinically. His dedication to excellence was recognized with the Dean’s Award for three years, and he graduated with distinction.
Passionate about patient care, Dr. Amen prioritizes comfort and trust, fostering strong relationships built on honesty and respect. He is committed to delivering the highest quality dentistry across various specialties and continually enhances his expertise through ongoing education. His keen interest in advancing the field has led him to participate in research projects focused on implant dentistry, with plans to contribute further in the future.
Outside the clinic, Dr. Amen maintains an active lifestyle, enjoying soccer, golf, squash, and weight training.
Meet Dr. Payal Patel
Oakville Dentist
Dr. Patel completed her Bachelor of Health Sciences at McMaster University before earning her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from Western University’s Schulich School of Medicine & Dentistry. Following graduation, she moved to Australia where she practiced dentistry and gained broad, hands-on experience across all aspects of care.
Dr. Patel is a compassionate, patient-focused dentist who prioritizes listening, education, and open communication. She understands that dental visits can feel overwhelming and is committed to creating a calm, welcoming, and stress-free environment. Known for her gentle touch, she enjoys restorative dentistry, endodontics, and oral surgery.
Dr. Patel is a member of the Canadian Dental Association (CDA), the Ontario Dental Association (ODA), and the Royal College of Dental Surgeons of Ontario (RCDSO).
Outside the clinic, Dr. Patel enjoys wellness-based living, practicing yoga, exploring new coffee and food spots, a good movie/ show and lots of traveling.
Meet Dr. Max Dawabsheh

Dr. Max discovered his passion for dentistry at a young age while spending time in his mother’s dental clinic. Surrounded by the world of patient care and hands-on treatment, he was inspired to follow in her footsteps and pursue a career that combined science, precision, and a deep sense of service.
Dr. Max is known for his patient-centered approach, prioritizing trust, comfort, and long-term relationships. He believes that every smile is unique and takes the time to truly understand each patient’s needs, providing individualized treatment plans and thorough education to help them make confident, informed decisions about their oral health.
He has a strong focus on aesthetic and cosmetic dentistry, combining art and science to help patients achieve beautiful, natural-looking smiles. Dr. Max holds degrees from Jordan University of Science and Technology and Edith Cowan University in Australia. He also completed advanced training in aesthetic and restorative dentistry at the University of Minnesota, further enhancing his expertise in smile design, veneers, and cosmetic restoration.
Dedicated to professional excellence, Dr. Max continually updates his skills through ongoing education and hands-on training. His gentle chairside manner, attention to detail, and commitment to modern techniques have earned the trust of patients of all ages.

Amber Bowes, RDH
Dental Hygienist
Amber has been with our team as a registered dental hygienist since our opening in 2016-2017. She is a graduate from the 3-year Advanced Dental Hygiene program at Georgian College in Barrie and is registered with the College of Dental Hygienists of Ontario.
Amber is really passionate about her job and loves interacting with her patients and helping them achieve excellent oral health. She is known for being gentle and making sure her patients are always comfortable. She stays current with continuing dental education classes, a commitment she takes seriously to helping patients maintain their dental health. Quality patient care is very important to her and being sure that patients receive the absolute best care while with her is one of her top priorities.
In her free time, Amber likes spending time with her family, going on road trips, traveling, hiking, and has a great passion for food.
Sabeen Ahmed, RDH
Dental Hygienist
Sabeen graduated from the Canadian Academy of Dental hygiene in 2011 and has been a dedicated Registered Dental Hygienist, with a passion for helping patients achieve and maintain healthy smiles. With over a decade of experience, she specializes in preventive care, patient education, and personalized treatment plans tailored to individual needs. Known for her compassionate approach, Sabeen strives to ensure that every patient feels comfortable and informed during their visit.
Outside of work, Sabeen enjoys spending quality time with her family and exploring new destinations through travel. She is also passionate about artistic pursuits, baking, and capturing life’s moments through photography.
Sadaf Azim, RDH
Dental Hygienist
Sadaf is a registered dental hygienist who graduated from The Canadian Academy of Dental Hygiene and Community Sciences in 2024. Before pursuing dental hygiene, she earned her Bachelor’s degree in Global Health from York University in 2022, where she gained a strong foundation in health promotion and community care. She is proudly registered with the College of Dental Hygienists of Ontario (CDHO) and is committed to providing safe, high-quality, patient-centered care.
Dedicated to creating a comfortable and welcoming experience, she strives to help every patient feel confident in their oral health through gentle treatment, education, and personalized preventive care.
Outside of the clinic, she enjoys spending time outdoors, being with loved ones, and baking—a balance that reflects her warm, caring, and grounded approach to life.
Emily Tavares
Dental Assistant
Emily Tavares is our hardworking Level II dental assistant here at Bronte Road Family Dental. She graduated from George Brown college’s dental assisting program in 2023. She is very passionate about her work and goes above and beyond to make sure patients feel comfortable and safe during procedures.
When Emily is not working, she loves to travel, go for walks, and spend time with her loved ones
Daniella Fernando
Dental assistant
Daniella is one of our caring dental assistants.
Daniella graduated with honors from the International Baccalaureate Diploma Program and is currently a student at McMaster University completing her B.Sc Honors in Life Sciences degree. She is gaining useful experience at Bronte Road Family Dental in order to further her career in dentistry. She enjoys learning from the team and talking to patients.
In her free time she’s either studying, tutoring students, or hanging out with family and friends, but her favorite thing in the world is spoiling her dog!
Carina Cerminara
Office manager
Carina grew up in Oakville surrounded by her friends and family.
Her problem solving, attention to detail and social nature brought her to our office where she strives to bring a smile to each patient’s face and make their experience with us as pleasant as can be. Carina is known for finding the best options possible for patients’ specific needs and finding the best solutions to their problems.
Outside of the office she loves to go on hikes, cook/bake for her family, and play with her dogs.
Anna Rowe
Dental receptionist / Patient care ambassador
Anna is an honours graduate of the social service worker diploma program. She is the friendly face patients are greeted by the moment they walk through the door. Anna loves making people feel comfortable, whether she’s helping them book an appointment, answering questions, or simply sharing a warm smile on a busy day. She believes the first interaction can completely change how someone feels about visiting the dentist, and she brings this mindset to every patient she meets.
Outside of the office, she enjoys walking her dog, reading, as well as spending time with family and friends.
